The successful applicant will have a genuine passion for animal welfare and confidence handling dogs in small, well-managed groups. This role is long-term and suited to someone seeking stability and consistency rather than temporary or student work.
Requirements
• Previous professional dog walking experience is essential.
• Self-employed, or willing to register before starting.
• Confident handling multiple dogs.
• Excellent knowledge of dog behaviour and body language.
• Calm, patient and confident in all situations.
• Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically fit and active.
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
• Able to work independently and use your own initiative.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence with a clean driving record.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willing to complete a DBS check before starting.

Responsibilities
The candidate will safely collect and return dogs from clients' homes and lead three structured small-group walks daily, with up to four dogs per walk. They will ensure safe transfers to and from the company van, providing about one hour of exercise, enrichment, and supervision per walk. Continuous monitoring of dog behavior and group dynamics is essential, along with managing interactions with other dogs in public spaces. The candidate will use leads, treats, and play responsibly while upholding high standards of safety and cleanliness. Professional interactions with clients and clear communication with management will also be required.
- Dog Transportation: Collecting and returning dogs from clients’ homes
- Group Walks: Leading 3 small group walks each day (maximum 4 dogs per walk)
